Aielwellyn

Between Myth and Book OneMythic Canon

Aielwellyn is remembered in the founding myth as the woman who stepped between the hunter and the White Stag, changing a killing into a symbol that would outlive them both.

Related Story: Aielwellyn appears in the founding myth preserved in How the Caoineadh Got Its Name.

The symbol also echoes into the prologue of First Time in Forever, where Drakkaer’s oldest myths begin pressing against the present.

Associated Song: “The Price of Kingdoms” belongs to the White Stag, Sachiel MacKeller, and Aielwellyn: the mythic cost of mercy, bloodline, crown, and the moment a raised blade becomes something more complicated than conquest.
